Today us officers would like to invite ye to join a very speedy contest: sloop racing! ship stitching! (I did try to look up what kind of boat we'll be stitchin', yarr, but to no avail.) We be lookin' for signatures for those of ye who want to race yer fastest needles. Place yer name right here in this journal if ye'd like to be a participant. And, please, tell all yer stitchy friends!

Ye must be a member of stitchingpirates to join!
Start Date is October 1st, End Date is when the first three racers have finished!
Ye pirates can join late if ye like, but starting with everyone else will give ye a sure advantage.
Participants will be given a copy of the pattern for free, courtesy of yer stitchingpirates officers. Note pinkythepink to get a faster response (dA doesn't notify me of journal comments here).

A color list is provided right now so that those who wish to participate can get their supplies ready. Yarr! Ye can find it in the preview image below.

The stitch count shall be 139 x 180. The pattern is set up for 14 count fabric but it is quite easy to just pick a different size fabric if ye like. There are 25 colors.

Ye can swap colors out as ye like (like changin' the flag to green instead of red). Also, don't feel constricted to the "exact" colors - if ye have a bunch of extra thread ye'd like to use instead, feel free.
