(Please read everything as it is all very important!)

 The contest begins on April 22, 2018 (Earth Day) and ends on April 22, 2019 (Earth Day)  You read that right!  2019!  This is a year long contest.


 CONTEST RULES

 The THEME of this contest is 3-D. Whether you are a beginner or an experienced stitcher, this new challenge is for everyone which is why ye swarthy stitchers get an entire year!  MAKE YOUR FINISHED PIECE EPIC AS THIS CONTEST IS EPIC!

When you submit a picture of your finished piece, a clear collage of your 3D object would be appreciated so the judges can see all sides.

   It is possible to create 3-D for a shadowbox type thing, the creative ideas are actually endless.  HOWEVER, although a biscornu is technically a 3-D object, they will NOT be allowed for this contest.  If you intend on creating a kind of shadowbox, please make sure that the contents of the box are cross stitched.

Example:  

This framed piece has a cross stitched piece in the background, and as awesome as it is, this is unacceptable as all pieces within should be cross stitch.  If the two figures had been stitched with stands on the backsides and placed inside, it would be acceptable for this contest.

  In your description please provide the great story of your trials and tribulations creating your submitted piece.

First place special note: When you win first place, you will have to sit out of the next contest as a contestant.  However, you WILL be an honorary judge for the following contest if that is something you are interested in. What this means is you will assist in scoring submissions.  You can submit to the contest as a judge but your submission won’t count towards the competition itself (the judges participate but their entries don’t count).
